This radio controlled (RC) plane flight simulator (it IS NOT a game) uses real world physics (aerodynamics in addition to the obvious effects of mass, power, torque, inertia, friction, and other parameters) to simulate the flight characteristics of virtually any RC plane, including user-defined planes. It includes dozens of planes and helicopters. I own several RC planes and those which happen to be models included with the simulator fly exactly like the real planes I own. I highly advise anyone who is getting into the hobby to buy the simulator and for multiple reasons:
1. You WILL crash no matter what you believe. Aside from a basic trainer like a Slow Stick a crash is going to cost you $200 minimum. That is roughly the cost of the simulator so you can see it pays for itself immediately.
2. You won't truly know what kind of flying you will enjoy until you can fly all different kinds of planes. This simulator allows you to do that. I initially thought I wanted to fly 3D and bought a pricey plane before I realized I enjoyed sport, scale and FPV flying much more.
3. You can practice maneuvers and stunts and perfect them without destroying a plane. In the simulator you will crash hundreds or likely thousands of times and it won't cost a penny. Plus you'll learn to master stunts that you would never try with a real plane.
4. It's just a lot of fun and you can fly on the simulator regardless of the weather outside.

I was hesitant before I bought G4 years ago but within a couple of days realized I made the right decision. It's been invaluable and tons of fun. Now I'm about to upgrade, probably to v9.
